Last day in Trier

Today I went to class with Linda in the morning. After fourth period, she and the other students in her grade had to go to a big job fair (it's very common for kids to go directly from high school to the work force in Germany), so the Americans who were staying with people in that grade were split up between younger kids. Owen and I were put with these three seventh grade girls. At first we were a bit confused because we thought we would be hanging out in English classes, but we just went along with it. Owen and I were joking that we had been put on babysitting duty, but then we realized that, actually, we were the ones being babysat. We first shadowed them in their gym class where they were doing sprints, and then they had a free period to get lunch so we went into town and got some pretzels (the bakery pretzels here are amazing). They were so sweet! They spoke hardly any English so throughout the two hours we were with them we conversed entirely auf Deutsch. After that, the Germans were done at the job fair so we headed back home. We were back by 1:30 so we watched the end of Slumdog Millionaire (we had seen the beginning in her English class today) and P.S. Ich Liebe Dich. I forgot to mention, yesterday we made banana bread. Yesterday was also the presentation and we had pictures before at Porta Nigra (I'll attach photos at the end). After we finished our movies, we both had to go pack. She has a sport class/training field trip this weekend. Once we were both basically done, we biked to the supermarket to get some snacks for our trips and we just finished dinner a few minutes ago.
