Saarburg

Today I went to Saarburg with my host family. Saarburg is a small old town that sits atop a waterfall in Eifel (a province of Germany next to Rhineland-Pfaltz (where Trier is)). It is kind of like a smaller version of Venice. On the way, we stopped to go to this lookout point where a little piece of the Mosel river snaked through. In Saarburg, we walked around and went inside an old military fortress. Then we had ice cream at an Eiscafé where I had spaghettieis (vanilla ice cream that goes through a machine that feeds it out in the shape of angel hair.) Everything was beautiful, as always!
